This Shetland White example is a rare and collectible piece of Japanese motorcycle history, offering the perfect blend of practicality and fun. The bike weighs just 99 pounds with fluids and features a black vinyl pop-up seat and handlebars that fold flat, along with integrated lift handles and tie-down points for transport. Powered by an air-cooled 49cc two-stroke single mounted horizontally, it produces 2.5 horsepower and 2.75 lb-ft of torque. Features include oil injection, a kick starter, and an exhaust system tucked beneath the rear bodywork. 🎨 DESIGN & FOLDING MECHANISM

The bike is finished in Shetland White with black rubber side strips as well as silver and red Motocompo graphics. Features include a black vinyl pop-up solo seat, a black front fender, a rear mudguard, a center stand, street lighting, a handlebar-mounted mirror, and folding handlebars and foot pegs. The seller notes cosmetic imperfections on the bodywork and corrosion on the fork and front wheel lip—character marks that add to the bike’s vintage charm.

⚙️ ENGINE & PERFORMANCE

The air-cooled 49cc two-stroke single is mounted horizontally and was factory rated at 2.5 horsepower and 2.75 lb-ft of torque. Features include oil injection, a kick starter, and an exhaust system that is tucked beneath the right side rear bodywork. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a single-speed transmission with an automatic clutch. The seller stated the transmission oil was flushed in 2024 under prior ownership.

🛞 SUSPENSION & BRAKING

Steel 8″ three-spoke wheels are finished in black and were mounted in 2024 with Dunlop K398 tires showing 2022 date codes. Suspension consists of a leading-axle telescopic fork as well as a monoshock connected to the drive unit, which doubles as the swingarm. Braking is from drums at both ends.
