🏍️ A COMPREHENSIVELY RESTORED CT70H!
This 1972 Honda CT70H Trail has undergone a comprehensive restoration, with the seller refinishing the bike in 2026 with a repaint in Candy Ruby Red, an overhaul of the 72cc four-stroke single, re-chroming the fenders, engine guard, and more, and replacement of numerous components. The result is a stunning example of Honda’s iconic four-speed mini bike.
🛠️ RESTORATION DETAILS
The hollow T-bone frame was refinished in Candy Ruby Red with replacement multi-colored Honda graphics. The black vinyl seat with chrome trim ring is a replacement unit, and additional details include a side stand, folding foot pegs, and trail lighting. The fenders were re-chromed in the refurbishment, along with the engine guard with integrated skidplate, the taillight bracket, and the front mount plate for the triple tree. Additional work included replacing the headlight, brake switch, horn, brake pedal assembly, spark plug guard, and assorted zinc-plated hardware.
⚙️ ENGINE REBUILD
The horizontal 72cc four-stroke single is equipped with a kick starter and an airbox with chrome endcaps. The cylinder received a rebore and replacement valves between January and April of 2026, the upswept exhaust is a performance unit from CHP, and additional work included replacing the timing chain, gaskets and seals, lower exhaust heat shields, ignition components, wiring harness, battery, air cleaner gaskets, kick starter, and dipstick. The valves were adjusted, the timing set, and the engine oil was changed following the build.
🛞 WHEELS & SUSPENSION
The multi-piece 10″ wheels were refinished in silver and are mounted with older Nitto tires. The fork received replacement seals, the collars were re-chromed, and the twin shocks attached to the swingarm are replacement units, along with the wheel bearings and seals. Braking is from drums at both ends with replacement shoes.
